Bishop Reginald L. Johnson, Sr., Pastor

Bishop Reginald L. Johnson, Sr., is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. In his late teenage years he migrated to Northwest Indiana where he laid his roots and began his ministry.

​

Bishop Johnson, was licensed to preach in 2004 and ordained in 2006. Shortly after, he began pastoring at the early age of 25. His passion to minister to God’s people, witness to lost souls and to exemplify the love of Christ is shown in all of his work.

​

In addition to preaching and teaching, Bishop Johnson is a talented singer, musician and minister of music. He also loves serving those who are struggling with substance abuse. He actively serves as an Addictions Counselor at an inpatient substance abuse facility. There he offers clinical and spiritual assistance, while serving as a facilitator of group therapy sessions, creates goals and treatment plans for the clients, teaches coping skills and accountability, and meets with family members for guidance and support. Pastor Johnson is well respected in this field, and he is often asked to coach clients post rehabilitation and requested to speak at AA & NA meetings.

Bishop Johnson obtained his Bachelor's in Divinity in December of 2014 from the Calvary School of Ministry. He furthered his education and obtained a Master’s of Theology in Biblical Studies in 2023 and His Doctorate of Ministry in 2025 both from GMOR Theological Institute of America.  Pastor Johnson was installed to the Office of Bishop in October 2025.

Bishop Johnson is happily married to Kimberly Johnson. They enjoy doing ministry together, spending time with one another and their children. Bishop Johnson is actively preaching throughout the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana areas and continues to strive to develop disciples and better the community through Christ Jesus.

Bishop Johnson and Lady Johnson have completed their first year of Pastoral Service at Haven with a strategic agenda to Love, Support and Care for God's People.

Bishop Johnson believes that our media ministry is essential so that those who cannot attend Haven are still able to connect to our services and hear the word of God. Jesus says in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…” Moreover, our media ministry enables us to reach the entire nation, so people beyond Chicago can receive the teachings of Jesus Christ. Jesus also says in Matthew 19:14, “Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for such is the kingdom of heaven.” Bishop Johnson has a passion for the youth and believes that the youth are the future. He wants to ensure they are not hindered, allowing them to worship in their own way and encouraging them in all that they do. Red and yellow black and white they are precious in His sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world.
